VC Tee is all in good fun. It was made by entrepreneurs who wanted to smile back at those who don’t always smile at us.
The venture capital and web startup industry manages to be brutal and comical at the same time. “Early stage investors” using the excuse “you’re too early”. Overly self confident investors not being able to make a decision until they know who else is interested too. VCs with an Agricultural Management degree passing judgment on your advanced life sciences idea. The list goes on.
Everyone in this business needs to stop putting each other down and start realizing we all share the same passion - bucking the rules, building innovative things, and having a great time doing it.
But we’re a unique breed of people. Living on the edge of innovation leaves many of us self conscious and unsure of ourselves. Sometimes it’s taken too far.
No one is better than anyone else just because they got lucky, knew a guy who knew a guy, has an iPhone, twitters, lives on the West Coast, or anything else.
